The Conversations: Walter Murch and the Art of Editing Film Michael Ondaatje
Publisher: Knopf Doubleday Publishing Group

This is another of my favourites. Though known for his fiction, Ondaatje has published 13 books of poetry and the well-regarded, award-winning The Conversations: Walter Murch and the Art of Editing Film. The book is about Walter's perspective on film editing. The Conversation has been marked in cinema history for Walter Murch's distinguished use of contemporary sound design, and the film's successful move from classical image/sound match. Look at the 4 or 5 star reviews, which seem about right. Coppola ran out of time and money as he was contracted to start Godfather 2, he gave what he had to editor Walter Murch and said "see if you can make it work". As an interviewee; as only one example of this, novelist Michael Ondaatje recorded an entire book's worth of interviews with Murch, later published under the title The Conversations: Walter Murch and the Art of Editing Film. The Conversations: Walter Murch and the Art of Editing Film. Ondaatje is also the author of The Conversations: Walter Murch & The Art Of Editing Film, an invaluable non-fiction work that explores the uniquely powerful role of the editor within the creative process of filmmaking. During the editing of Coppola's 1974 film "The Conversation" a lot of key story and structure choices were necessitated by the fact that a good chunk of the film had yet to be shot. I highly recommend reading 'The Conversations: Walter Murch and the Art of Editing Film' by Michael Ondaatje. The Conversations: Walter Murch and the Art of Editing Film by Michael Ondaatje. I'm really happy about The Conversations: Walter Murch and the Art of Editing Film. The Conversations: Walter Murch and the Art of Editing Film is about how some of the most extraordinary films of the past 30 years were made and edited. He found that Gene Hackman would blink very close to the point he The art of editing is cutting with the impression that there has been no cuts. With its levels, and in the 40's many art films were staged there, so I don't feel that bad about it. I'm currently reading a great book that touches directly on the question of novels vs. The Conversations: Walter Murch and the Art of Editing Film Right now. Next time I am editing I will definitely think about Walter's approach. Walter Murch is a famous film editor and sound mixer of such films as He compared his cuts to a blink of an eye: He began to see this on his first picture editing job for the film The Conversation (1974). A particularidade de montar de pé "como um cirurgião realiza uma operação" e, depois, iniciasse um conjunto de entrevistas com ele que viria a formar o livro "The Conversations: Walter Murch and the Art of Editing Film".
